Massachusetts Public Banking is working to establish a public bank here in the Bay State. We envision a transparent and responsive institution that works for small businesses, municipalities, and family farms across the Commonwealth,
and that prioritizes lending to borrowers often overlooked by commercial lenders, including cooperatives, land and housing trusts, entrepreneurs of color, and women-owned businesses. Our public bank will lend in cooperation
with Massachusetts state-chartered banks and community development financial institutions, to ensure that these institutions can help grow our common wealth.
